The battle this Sunday will involve the duel between Brandon Maisano and Guillaume De Ridder, where the French Championship is at stake.

Unusually, the Belgian driver’s team seems to be more confident this morning despite being 12 points behind their rival. De Ridder is comfortable in the rain, his performance in the wet has made him a big favourite. But Guillaume showed yesterday that his chassis has made significant progress in the dry.

Maisano is a more fearsome contender in the dry but it appears likely that it will rain. Brandon has a good setup for a flood, but less good for lighter rain. If De Ridder won the final, Brandon must be second to take the title, or third if he takes the fastest lap of the race. As we can see the gap is narrow. Nyck De Vries, highly motivated to win, will pay an important part in the challenge.

At the same time, can we truly assess the amount of determination in the drivers statements before the race? However it is certain that the racing will be exciting, starting with the qualifying starting in a few minutes.
