The weather continued to be dry, despite the low ceiling of back clouds. The two Italians, Matteo Beretta ad Vittorio Ghirelli took the first two positions after a start that would see a clash at the lefthand hairpin. Nyck De Vries was caught in it and was 14th when the dust settled. Guillaume De Ridder was seventh after the first lap. Brandon Maisano, initially third, overcame Ghirelli to gain second place.

The focus was on the progress of De Ridder and De Vries while monitoring the gap between the leader and Maisano and Beretta. De Vries was fastest and incredibly on lap nine he took third position! De Ridder followed at a distance, while Maisano always seemed ready to attack Beretta.

The chequered flag confirmed the situation: Beretta was the winner ahead of Maisano, De Vries and De Ridder, then Jeffrey Schmidt, Michael Heche, Kevin Petit and Tanguy Carel. The anticipated duel wil take place between Maisano and De Ridder.
