The Championship France to J-1

What is the provisional ranking of the 2008 French Championship on Saturday evening at Varennes, where there is only one race left to go?

Lacaze 99%*

In KF2 the situation is clearest. Charles Lacaze has scored enough points to be almost certain of taking the championship for the second consecutive year. After his relative performance against Lacaze on Saturday the Belgian driver Robin Frijns will almost certainly just be the vice-champion. Robin has sportingly already congratulated his French opponent. For third place, Guillaume Barbarin holds the position after his win yesterday but William Benedetti and Loic Reguillon still have a chance.

Maisano 75%*

In KF3, 17 points now separate the leader Brandon Maisano from his unhappy rival Guillaume De Ridder. The psychological ascendancy will doubtless be less important than the track conditions in the final. Jonathan Helias is best placed to take third in the championship.

Mich 80%*

Enzo Zefirini lost out with his Final retirement after his accelerator cable failed and was unable to take advantage of Mich’s handicap of starting from the back of the grid. Thomas leads with 210 points (197 on drops). Anthony Abbasse has run well throughout and is second with 181 points. Enzo is third with 168 points, Emilien Grosso fourth with 153.
