Ardigo victorious again

miss-30-seconds.jpgSecond KF1 heat of the day: The new CIK start procedure no longer seems to cause problems for the drivers. Davide Fore on pole went through the two speed traps at 30kph them 36kph.

In the bustle, Fore lost five places while Ardigo again took control of the race. Sauro Cesetti was by now in second followed by Shoji Sato, Kazuya Ishii who started like a bullet then Gary Catt. The battle between those two lastest two laps.

Sato retired on lap three, and Toman then Ishii gave way to Fore who was strong. Ardigo pulled out a long ga of several hundred metres from the competition. From the back of the pack, Matias Laine started to claw his way back. Will Stevens was grappling with Ishii for fifth. At the front, a duel between Cesetti and Catt was quickly joined by Fore and became a struggle between three.

The situation calmed down on lap ten, when Fore overcame his two followers. Catt seemed to lose out to Cesetti momentarily, and also even Ishii, but he came back on the last two laps. Jason Parrott and Alessandro Bressan gained places and finished fourth and fifth, ahead of Stevens and Laine.

This was the second victory of the day for Ardigo while Fore took advantage of second position with Catt third.
