In the KZ2 Prefinal, Thomas Mich and Anthony Abbasse on the front row retained their positions, but Pierre Etienne Chaumat made a superb start and ended up third.

Mathieu Simone knew he might have problems leaving the starting grid, while Christian Hostert stalled and couldn’t start. Norman Nato attacked Chaumat and moved to third place. Christophe Benoit and Enzo Zefirini also threatened the Alpha driver and his fourth position while at the front Mich pulled away.

On the fifth lap, Benoit then Zefirini took Chaumat. Further back, Alban Varutti, the final winner from yesterday, came back from his 16th place and into the top ten. Nato moved closer to Abbasse in second but then he managed to control the gap to the Intrepid driver. Zefirini briefly threatened Benoit but couldn’t find an opening. On the last lap Simon Ellis ran into the back of Varutti, resulting in his retirement and the loss of nine positions for Varutti !

Mich won this Prefinal ahead of Anthony Abbasse, making a comeback after a quiet Saturday, and Norman Nato in third.
