The first impressions from Pierre Etienne Chaumat, the driver from Alpha – MP Racing in the KZ2 French Championship, after the first day’s testing at Essay:
« I like the new tyres we use now in KZ (Bridgestone YKB instead of YKC) The kart is well balanced and it is easier to overtake. The sensation is much better and the must gain a second a lap… Of course, we must be careful as it wears out faster, but still, I found it a little like driving in Europe. However, we need to work on the chassis, I’m three or four tenths off the best today.»
The verdict will come in timed practice on Saturday morning…
