The British driver Jack Hawksworth made an excellent start, but unfortunately for him it was too early. Although he was out on his own in the lead, he was trapped by the sporting commission who inflicted a penalty of ten seconds which immediately went live on the screens. Hawksworth plummeted to 20th place.

Tony Lavanant therefore recovered the lead, followed in his shadow by Joffrey Demanse who attempted an attack on the 12th lap. Lavanant replied immediately and managed to control Demanse, who continued to threaten until the chequered flag.

Emmanuele Neri comfortably held on to third place throughout the race. Paul Louveau remained in the top ten for a while before descending into the depths of the rankings. In contrast, Enzo Zefirini started 21st and came back to ninth place. Pierre Etienne Chaumat cruised around the 15th spot to finish 16th. Increasing his lead and remaining the leader on the track, Hawksworth managed to come back strongly to seventh in the race classification.
