There was drama even before the start: Marco Ardigo’s engine wouldn’t fire so he started the race in last place.

Will Stevens retained the pole ahead of his team-mate Gary Catt. Piccioni was not far behind and ahead of Parrott and Te Braak. De Brabander lost a lot of time with some extreme braking. Convers and Bressan quickly moved past Parrott and Ryall was already ten places up on his starting position. Fore rose 16 places in five laps. Norman Nato went off the track when a kart suddenly went across in front of him.

Catt took the advantage over Stevens, while Te Braak settled in third position, from the fifth row. By mid-race Stevens took the lead for good. Piccioni was fourth, ahead of Bressan and Cesetti.

At the back there were the most fierce fights. Litchfield came through to seventh position, winning 17 places.

Mengers joined this group along with Convers and Laine, while Parrott and Ryall soon added to the atmosphere before the return of Ardigo. Kozlinski was the victim of a seize in front of the podium, and on the final lap Ryall also seized and could not benefit from his ninth place.
