We should not complain: Morgan Riche has managed a superb race. Starting 5th, he was already third by the second lap and passed Williamson to gain second on the fifth lap. Williamson didn’t drop back and kept threatening to retake the position. But nothing worked, Morgan wanted his second place and knew to step on the gas when necessary to ward off his opponent.

The race was more difficult for the other two French in the category. Olivier Fiorucci retired after a spectacular off on the third lap, when he was running in around 15th. Guy Pansart started in 13th place and lost fie places in turn four. He was then no longer able to keep pace and was forced to settle for a 23rd place finish.
