Senior, the last heats

Review of the French delegation in Al Ain.

Alexandre-Benoit Bessac has been hot. He was again caught in a big accident just after the start, where 15 karts were stopped but Alexandre was one of the first to get going again and thus limited the damage. However he was not really able to go forward because of the enormous gap before the group ahead of him. He finished in 19th place, which gives him 23rd overall after the three heats have been added up. He is the only French driver directly qualified for the finals.

Jerome Bourquand is quite satisfied with his third heat because his kart is now well developed. Once warmed up this morning it was very close to the best times, but during the race he was still paying for his poor qualification that means he was starting 26th which is difficult in these conditions. Jermone went upstream calmly each lap and finished 18th, so he is ranked 37th overall and therefore ninth in the repechage.

Joffrey David has abandoned his hopes to avoid the repechage in the same crash that caught Bessac. Hindered even longer in a welter of karts and dirt, Joffrey was unable to do better than 26th. 45th overall, he starts 17th in the repechage, visibly annoyed.
