News about DD2 !

The three French drivers in DD2 have completed their second round of qualifying heats.

Guy Pansart is still not happy with his chassis settings. He regretted that the heats have been monopolized by running in, searching for the right gearing  and learning the track. He finished 12th, knowing he must improve his setup.

Olivier Fiorucci is in something of the same situation, but with a quite different approach. He took advantage of the heats and now has the skills to learn about his machine (it’s his first time in DD2) and fine-tune the settings. It’s his usual tactic, and he knows he can release the big results in the pre-final. However, it still lags behind in handling as he only took the 11th place  at the end of the day.

Morgan Riche is doing better in terms of results. After the disappointment of the accident in heat 1, Morgan has achieved a superb position in the second heat. “I was on the inside of the grid, it was easier!” He is modest, Morgan! He spent a few laps behind the untouchable Canadian Pier-Luc Ouelette, and did not attempt to retake the Australian Tom Williamson when he passed, prefering to ensure his third place.
