Favourable balance sheet for Team France’s Mini Maxes

1st, 5th, 17th and 20th are the results obtained by the four French contenders in Mini Max after the Qualifying Heats. Winner of the French Cup for Cadet, Evan Giltaire was the hero of these first two days of competition. After his second time in Qualifying, he negotiated both races perfectly in a fast and clear-sighted manner. Evan was able to make the most of his Birel ART-Rotax provided by a random draw. He will have the honour to start in pole position on Friday morning for the Prefinal.

An honourable mention for Augustin Bernier, ranked 5th overall thanks to two wins in the heats. He will have the advantage of starting from the inside in the Prefinal. The performance is there, his fastest lap in Heat 2 is also a little faster than that of his compatriot. Augustin can still ramp up on the track.

After a rather encouraging Heat 1 on Wednesday afternoon, Leo Poncel struggled in the middle of the pack. Often pushed off the fastest lines, he had to deal with tyres soiled by rubber deposits and has continued to drop back. He is 17th with both heats added together.

In Heat 2, Theophile Nael hoped to continue his comeback after the first heat where he finished 17th, but he had some difficulty getting out of a restless pack and crossed the finish line in 26th position. In the Prefinal, he will try to improve on his 20th position.
