Dedecker and Giltaire in the lead of the heats for the youngest drivers

Divided among groups A, B, C and D in Junior, Senior, DD2 and DD2 Master, the drivers compete in three heats before the Finals. On the other hand, the 36 Micro and 36 Mini Maxes, who all race together in the same group, have only two heats to secure a good place on the grid for their Prefinal.

Micro Max
Belgian driver Douwe Dedecker recovered from his time penalty by winning the first heat while Dutch poleman Mitchell Van Dijk lost outr significantly in a collision. He finished bravely with a noticeably crooked chassis, before taking his revenge in the second heat. This time he was ahead of the Polish driver Maksymilian Obst, who kept his 2nd place from Qualifying. Consistent, the Chilean Agustin Sepulveda is 3rd in the overall standings of the two races in front of Finland’s Alvar Siimesvaara. American Brent Crews moved to 9th position.

Germany’s Farin Megger was able to overtake Frenchman Evan Giltaire on the last lap of Heat 1, but could do no better than 5th in Heat 2. However, Giltaire was imperial and took the win, so he won his place on pole position in the Prefinal on Friday.

Behind them, many drivers continued to fight side by side and the Russian Iakov Sokolov emerged in 3rd position ahead of the Latvian Tomass Stolcermanis and the Frenchman Augustin Bernier. Léo Poncel dropped to 17th overall, three places ahead of Théophile Nael.
