Bastien Borget

Happy to have come to Brazil, Bastien is enthusiastic after the first two days of Free Practice. “I was among the fastest on Monday, but not necessarily in every sessions because I had a transponder problem. It rained before the first session on Tuesday and I preferred not to go out, because we only have one set of rain tyres for the whole week, so it was better to save it. In the next, I had trouble finding a clear lap, I felt like I was a hare for some of the fastest drivers. The last session confirmed my excellent feeling and I’m fast in the first few laps, which is good for Qualifying. I will need to be consistent in the heats.”

Paul Fourquemin
The Norman is not yet at his best and is in the middle of the hierarchy. “I admit that I’m looking for more performance, we have tested a lot of things, but I’m not really happy with my time, so we’ll analyse all this and try to put everything in the right order. There are some good points, because I managed good times in the rain, once on slicks and once in 3rd position of my group in wet tyres.”

Rudy Champion
Rudy is in a similar situation to Paul. He knows he must improve to aim be be a finalist on Saturday. “We know the Sodi chassis well, as we use it efficiently during the year, but this time it is equipped with Mojo tyres, whereas we have Bridgestones in France. The grip is high, but it may be lacking laterally. In any case, we need to work to be faster in the dry, fortunately it’s better when showers have wet the track.”
