The weather had changed slightly at Kristianstad for the OK World Championship Final as the wind kept the site cool.

The poleman Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR / Parilla) started perfectly with Hannes Janker (KR / Parilla) on his bumper. Luigi Coluccio (Birel ART / TM) replaced David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 3rd place and tried to put pressure on Janker. Noah Milell (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the lead of the chasing pack on the third lap, more than 2″ from the top three. The fight raged in the pack with spectacular battles. Vidales passed Milell who was under threat from Dexter Patterson (KR / Parilla). From lap 6, Janker was faster than Travisanutto and both of them left Coluccio behind. Jonny Edgar (Exprit / TM) was up 15 places in 8th place, just behind Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex).

Janker attacked Travisanutto and took the lead on the 10th of the 25 laps of the race. Patterson jumped to 5th in front of Milell, then attacked Vidales for 4th place. Difficult to consider a better position, Coluccio, in 3rd, was more than 4” behind. Thompson had given up. At six laps from the finish, Travisanutto suddenly reduced the gap with Janker by 4 tenths to 2.5 tenths. Continuing to get closer, he was attacking his usual rival on the penultimate lap. Travisanutto finally won the World Championship in OK 4 tenths ahead of Janker, while Coluccio took 3rd place almost 3” behind. In 4th position, Patterson was more than 4″ behind and Edgar (+18) finished in the top five ahead of Milell.
