OK-Junior Heats: Bortoleto takes the lead in front of David

Still affected by the different tyre strategies, the last three Qualifying Heats of the Ampfing OK-Junior European Championship took place in very good weather. Gabriele Mini’ (Parolin / Parilla) won the E-F heat by holding off Daniel Briz Llull (FA Kart / Parilla) very well. Victor Bernier (Kosmic / Parilla) had another great race in 4th position and Isack Hadjar (Exprit / TM) was 6th. Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart / Vortex) won the C-D heat ahead of Kirill Smal (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Luca Griggs (Exprit / Vortex), while Loris Cabirou (Energy / TM) was an excellent 4th. Marcus Amand (KR / Parilla) was back in the top 10, but Macéo Capietto (KR / Parilla) did not finish. Paul Aron (FA Kart / Vortex) won in the last heat A-B against Gabriel Bortoleto (CRG / TM). Laurens Van Hoeppen (Tony Kart / Vortex) was ahead of Hadrien David (Kosmic / Vortex) in 4th. Evann Mallet (Kosmic / Parilla) suffered in 18th place, while Sami Meguetounif (Formula K / TM) retired quickly.

Gabriel Bortoleto took control of the OK-Junior category with pole position on the starting grid of the Final alongside Hadrien David. Paul Aron was third in front of Luca Griggs, and Gabriele Mini’ was 5th, followed by Kai Askey. Josh Dufek was 7th, Kirill Smal 8th and Nikita Bedrin 9th, so kept their chances. Loris Cabirou qualified in the top 10, Marcus Amand 17th, Victor Bernier 21st and Isack Hadjar 27th.
