Alex Irlando (Sodi / TM) was surprised by Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) when the lights went out for the KZ2 Final of the WSK Super Master Series at Sarno. Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM) took 2nd position, while Patrik Hajek (Kosmic / Vortex) was 4th in front of Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) and Jérémy Iglesias (Formula K / TM). The gaps remained very small between the first three, even to 4th, while Matteo Vigano (Tony Kart / Vortex) moved up to 6th ahead of Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Abbasse. Irlando attempted an attack on De Conto on lap 12 which let Ardigo push his lead to 1.2″ in the middle of the race. Tom Leuillet (Sodi / TM) was in the top 10, followed by Adrien Renaudin (Sodi / TM). Irlando eventually passed De Conto on lap 12, but Ardigo was already 2.5″ ahead of him. Hajek passed De Conto under braking on the penultimate lap. Ardigo took a very good win which secured him the Championship with a comfortable lead, and Irlando’s 2nd position allowed him to overtake De Conto in 2nd place in the Championship while Hajek finished 3rd in the race.
