Qualifying for the OK World Championship had already unbalanced the forces involved, and the harsh qualities of the Qualifying Heats and the numerous spoiler sanctions accentuated the phenomenon during Saturday, not forgetting a few sporadic incidents.

 

Danny Keirle (Zanardi / Parilla) took the lead along with Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart / Vortex) who was recovering from 18th in Qualifying. Juho Valtanen (Kosmic / Vortex) was ahead of David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Fin Kenneally (Tony Kart / Vortex). Franck Chappard (Redspeed / Parilla) was 22nd ahead of Adrian Eteki (Zanardi / Parilla) 28th. Callum Bradshaw (CRG / Parilla) was in a bit of trouble in 31st place, and Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla) has given up after a severe crash in the final heat. Felice Tiene (Birel ART / TM) had been excluded because of his revenge on Sami Taoufik (FA Kart / Vortex), an incident that had degenerated in the parc ferme. The situation is expected to be complex for Théo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex) and Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex), as well as for Lorenzo Travisanutto (Zanardi / Parilla) and Dennis Hauger (CRG / Parilla). So many potential protagonists already eliminated …
