The rain had plenty of time to wet the Wackersdorf track during the night and the warm-up was rainy, but slicks were back on for the last three Qualifying Heats of the CIK-FIA KZ2 International Super Cup.

Hubert Petit (Sodi / TM) won A-E after taking the lead on the first lap. Maximilian Paul (DR / Modena) finished 3rd in front of Brandon Nilsson (Righetti / TM) and David Detmers (Parolin / TM), ahead of Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART / TM). Alexandre Arrue (Sodi / TM) finished 7th, and Alexander Schmitz (Tony Kart / Vortex) fell to 11th while Paolo Ippolito took 17 places to finish in 12th place with the fastest lap. It was a difficult race for Luca Tilloca (Sodi / TM) in 22nd. Simone Cunati (Top Kart / Parilla) gave up on Saturday night because of rib pain.

Alex Irlando (Sodi / TM) won D-G on the track by taking the lead from Benjamin Persson (CRG / TM) at the restart after a slow period before being penalised for that. Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 2nd place ahead of Rokas Bacisuka (Sodi / TM) and Martijn Van Leeuwen (Energy / TM). The French finished with Yohan Soguel (Lenzo / LKE) 6th, Oliver Rasmussen (Kosmic / Vortex) 7th and Paolo Besnacenez (Energy / Vortex) 8th, ahead of Erik Rismyrh (Sodi / TM). Adrien Renaudin (Sodi / TM) had to settle for 16th place, which did not help his place in the standings.

Ariel Levi (Sodi / TM) resisted Francesco Celenta (Praga / TM) superbly in the final heat, C-F. Then came Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM), while Celenta managed to pass the young Israeli on lap 10, but it didn’t stick. Once again Levi gave way on the last lap against Zanchetta who won the race. Max Tubben (CRG / TM) finished 4th ahead of Daniel Bray (GP Racing / TM) and Alessandro Pelizzari (CKR / TM). The young Emilien Denner (Kali Kart / TM) gained nine places and finished 12th.

Irlando was penalized by 10” for passing Persson before the end of the slow period, although it was slowed down by a wet area. Longhi will start in pole position for the decisive Final alongside Persson, Zanchetta and Stell will be on the second row ahead of Celenta and Irlando. Van Leeuwen is 7th, Bray 8th, Piccini 9th and Gonzales completes the top 10, while Levi inherited a superb 11th position. Petit has qualified 21st, Rasmussen 26th, Arrue 29th.
