The last two Qualifying Heats of the World KZ Championship at Wackersdorf took place on an almost dry track, with traces of off-line moisture sometimes complicating overtaking.

While Fabian Federer (CRG / TM) missed his start, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) took control on the penultimate lap. Simo Puhakka (Kosmic / Vortex) tried several times to narrow the gap with the leader, but to no avail. Abbasse won comfortably by posting a fastest lap nearly two tenths faster than his rivals. Flavio Camponeschi (CRG / TM) took 3rd place ahead of Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM), while Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 5th position after he was challenged by Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart / Vortex) for a short time.

Jérémy Iglesias (Formula K / TM) got took the better of Marijn Kremers (Birel ART / TM) in the last Heat B-D. Jordan Lennox-Lamb (Tony Kart / Vortex) gave way to Patrik Hajek (Kosmic / Vortex) before losing more ground and retiring after contact with Stan Pex (CRG / TM). Kremers and Hajek were unable to dislodge Iglesias from 1st place while Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM) moved closer. The Italian finished 3rd in front of the Czech and Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM). Iglesias secured his victory against Kremers.

Abbasse emerged as the leader of the Qualifying Heats and Iglesias moved up to 2nd place. Hajek found himself 3rd ahead of De Conto, with Kremers and Puhakka on the third row of the Final starting grid ahead of Camponeschi and Federer.
