The fine rain that has occasionally wet the Le Mans track has not made it easy for the drivers in the European Junior Championship. Eight qualifying heats have been raced since Friday and there are two to cover on Sunday morning, with Group E having already finished. The races have not lacked interest with several dramas, some incidents on the track and a lot of penalties, mainly because of spoilers incorrectly positioned at the finish.

Still, Gillian Henrion (Tony Kart / Vortex) leads the dance on Saturday night against Jonny Edgar (Exprit / TM) and Hadrien David (Zanardi / Parilla). Reshad De Gerus (Tony Kart / Vortex) is close to the top 10 in front of top names like Mattia Michelotto (Zanardi / Parilla) and Andrea Rosso (Tony Kart / Vortex). The quickly evolving Isack Hadjar (Tony Kart / Vortex) is well-placed despite a difficult race. The situation is complicated for favourites such as Christopher Lulham (Tony Kart / Parilla), Leonardo Marseglia (Zanardi / Parilla), Gabriel Bortoleto (CRG / Parilla) and Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex).
