Unsurprisingly, Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM) took over the lead of KZ on Saturday night while a heat remains on Sunday morning. The Italian was followed, at a distance, by Jeremy Iglesias (Formula K / TM) in the particularly hotly contested Heat 1 where Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM) achieved the fastest time while returning from 8th to 3rd place. On a track like the Fernando Alonso circuit, that’s a real achievement. Marijn Kremers (Birel ART / TM) would have finished 4th without a spoiler penalty, while his team-mate Felice Tiene (Birel ART / TM) recovered this position with the aesthetics of his kart much modified by the battle. Luca Corberi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was going well, but retired following an engine failure.

Kremers followed the leader’s pace in a quieter second heat, while Corberi finished 3rd ahead of Patrik Hajek (Kosmic / Vortex), Iglesias and Lammers. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) once again fought Simo Puhakka (Kosmic / Vortex) for 7th place. It should be noted that Davide Foré (Righetti / TM) did not take part either race.
