Pourchaire opens the European competition with pole position in OK

Ulysse De Pauw (Kosmic / Parilla) was in the lead on the penultimate lap of the first OK timed session at Sarno, followed by Flavio Camponeschi (CRG / Parilla). But it was finally Rasmus Lindh (Ricciardo / TM) who was the fastest – 57”201 – joined by Alex Irlando (Sodi / TM) by only one thousandth in the very last moments. Finlay Kenneally (Tony Kart / Vortex) came in 3rd, De Pauw 4th, Camponeschi 5th and Dennis Hauger (CRG / Parilla) 6th by 0.118”. Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished 13th by 0.271”.

It can be said that the battle was tight in the 2nd series as the top four were within 3 thousandths of a second! Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) finally won with 57”096 against Muizzudin Musyaffa (DR / Parilla), Paavo Tonteri (Tony Kart / Vortex) and David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex). Esteban Muth (Zanardi / Parilla) was 5th and Sebastian Persson (Tony Kart / Vortex) 6th by less than 7 hundredths. On the other hand, Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla), not completely recovered from his accident at the WSK Super Master, finished only 15th at 0.221”.

The third and final series was the fastest with the pole position of Théo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex) 56”942 ahead of Pavle Bulantsev (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Theo Nouet (Energy / Parilla) at less than a tenth. Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Daniel Vebster completed the top 5 overall. 6th place in the series for Sami Taoufik (FA Kart / Vortex) and 7th for Niki Kruetten (FA Kart / Vortex). Adam Eteki (Zanardi / Parilla) finished the 12th time (Kosmic / Vortex) in front of his teammates Jacopoc Gheno (Zanardi / Parilla) and Lorenzo Travisanutto (Zanardi / Parilla). Franck Chappard (Redspeed / Parilla) finished 16th.

Overall, Basz found himself 6th in front of Muizzudin Musyaffa, Vidales 9th in front of Taoufik, Lindh 17th, Irlando 18th, David Schumacher (Tony Kart / Vortex) 19th, Kenneally 24th ahead of De Pauw, Eteki, Bradshaw and Camponeschi, Joyner 35th, Hauger 37th, Caio Collet (Birel ART / TM) 38th and Chappard 39th while Hiltbrand was back in 52nd.
