WSK Super Master 2017: Basz winner and Novalak champion in OK

The battle started on the first round of the Final with Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart / Vortex) leading ahead of Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex), Lorenzo Travisanutto (Zanardi / Parilla), Fin Kenneally (Tony Kart / Vortex) then Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) who had been on pole. Several victims included Theo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex) and Sami Taoufik (FA Kart / Vortex). After only three laps, Adam Eteki (Zanardi / Parilla) was in an incredible 9th position (+18 pl). But then he hit another kart and dropped back down to 18th. Basz took the lead on lap 6, Kenneally lost out and David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 4th in front of Novalak. Even though the title was had been all but won, Novalak went on the offensive on his teammate Vidales to gain 4th position. But his attack proved risky as he went over the grass and dropped to 7th. Vidales gave up after a seize two laps from the end.

Basz came in almost 2” ahead of Hiltbrand and Travisanutto 3rd. With his 4th place, Novalak was champion in front of Basz and De Pauw. Eteki finally returned to 13th at the end of a weekend that had begun badly. 11 drivers out of 34 did not make the finish.
