Victories for Puhakka and Iglesias in KZ2 Prefinals

Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM) took the lead when the lights went out, followed by Simo Puhakka (Kosmic / Vortex) and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM), while Paolo De Conto (CRG/TM) was fighting with Lorenzo Camplese (Parolin / TM) for 4th position. Puhakka managed to overtake Lammers on the second attempt while Abbasse controlled Camplese. Although very fast, Tom Leuillet (Sodi / TM) had lost several places at the start of the race. Stan Pex (CRG / TM) climbed to 4th position in front of Camplese while Puhakka took the lead with the fastest lap. He won the race 2.2” ahead of Lammers and Abbasse. De Conto finished 6th in front of Felice Tiene (Birel ART / TM), Luca Corberi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Leuillet in 9th. Adrien Renaudin (Sodi / TM) finished 17th.

Francesco Celenta (Praga / TM) went out at the hairpin and Marijn Kremers took 2nd place ahead of Patrik Hajek (Kosmic / Vortex), while Jérémy Iglesias (Formula K / TM) took a big lead. Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Martijn Van Leeuwen (Energy / TM) were on the grid and the Italian fell to 9th position. Kremers disappeared leaving 2nd place to Hajek ahead of Alessandro Pelizzari (CKR / TM) and Paolo Ippolito (Lenzo / LKE),and Douglas Lundberg (Sodi / TM) was 5th ahead of Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM). Pierre Loubère (Zanardi / Parilla) then struggled with Ardigo for 7th place, suggesting that the Tony Kart chassis had suffered some damage at the start. Iglesias was still ahead of Hajek and Pelizzari, Ippolito resisted Pex and Ardigo came back to 6th, followed by Lundberg and Andrea Dahlberg (Birel ART / TM). Loubère finished 9th and Paul Fontaine (Sodi / TM) qualified 16th.
