For once, the first lap of a junior race took place without concern. Axel Charpentier took the lead from Roope Ropanen on the second lap, but Caio Collet took the lead on the third lap. Mathias Ramirez-Barrero moved up to 3rd, followed by Florian Venturi, Scott Symons and Harrison Thomas. Charpentier went off the track and found himself in front of Jules Bollier in 10th. Ramirez-Barrero took control on lap 5 at the expense of Collet, with Venturi 3rd. These three drivers were already more than 1.5″ away from the pack.
Collet attacked the leader after halfway and Venturi followed in 2nd position, while Thomas was slightly closer than 1” from the trio. On the 12th of 15 laps, Venturi took the lead ahead of Collet and Ramirez, but Symons was just 0.254” away. Collet was passed by Ramirez and Symons. Venturi admirably controlled the end of the race and won 0.050″ ahead of Ramirez-Barrero and Collet, with Symons 4th, Thomas 5th, Ropanen 6th, Charpentier 7th and Bollier 8th.
