Academy Prefinal: Lloveras the winner ahead of Coursimault

The sun quickly dried the tarmac at Le Mans and the majority of the competitors in the prefinal of the Academy Trophy decided to fit slick tyres at the last minute. Artem Slutskiy retained the advantage of his pole position at the start against Alfie Brown, while Enzo Coursimault passed Xavier Lloveras Brunet for 3rd place. Brunet returned and attempted an attack on the leader but lost time. It was a difficult start to the race for Theo Nouet who dropped back to 21st position. Lloveras Brunet managed to take control on the fourth lap, with Coursimault in his wheeltracks. In 4th place, ahead of Murilo Della Coletta and Brown the  Spanish driver Marta Garcia was already assured of the title after the qualifying heats.

Coursimault became more and more threatening to the leader Lloveras Brunet at the end. Brown was 3rd ahead of Slutskiy and Della Coletta. Lloveras managed to control Coursimault to the finish line and narrowly won the race.
