The Kristianstad KF prefinal began with a tight duel between Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) and Tom Joyner (Zanardi / TM), the two rivals in the European Championship. But Hanley retains the advantage while Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) captured 2nd place and closed on the leader. Some fine drops of rain appeared. Richard Verschoor (Exprit / Vortex) lost time in the early laps and was only 7th. Juan Correa (Energy / TM) was up to 4th passing Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex), while the grip decreased and driving became very dangerous on slicks. Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex) moved up to 3rd, but the red flag was waved on lap 13, as the track became too dangerous. Victory went to Hanley, with Nielsen 2nd, Joyner retaining 3rd place 10” behind the leaders, Vartanyan 4th, Correa 5th. Marcus Armstrong (Tony Kart / Vortex) managed a superb rise of 13 places in 6th position ahead of Basz and Verschoor. Last qualified in the repechage, François Becamel (Kosmic / Parilla) finished 15th.
