The track at Genk had virtually dried and slick tyres were mounted for the last prefinal of the European KZ Championship. Simo Puhakka (CRG / Maxter) chose to go start on the outside so Jorrit Pex (Intrepid / TM) was on the inside. Both Tony Karts Marco Ardigo and Flavio Camponeschi flew at the lights and took the lead at the second corner. Pex was 3rd, followed by Arnaud Kozlinski (Sodi / TM) and Puhakka who was losing ground. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) was 6th, ahead of Jérémy Iglesias (Sodi / TM) who made a bad start.

Ardigo and Camponeschi escaped more than a second ahead of Pex, with Kozlinski 4th, Iglesias 5th ahead of Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) and Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla), who dropped Abbasse to 12th. Camponeschi attacked Ardigo on the 5th lap and captured the lead but Pex returned strongly. Iglesias closed on Kozlinski. Pex passed Ardigo for 2nd place.

Camponeschi dropped to 7th before halfway, leaving Pex to lead ahead of Ardigo. Iglesias took 3rd and Dalé was 4th  after passing Kozlinski. Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) unusually had barely moved up. Ardigo was more and more threatening to Pex. Camponeschi recovered and Abbasse took 5th from 7th with the fastest time. Kozlinski gave way to Abbasse as he was faster. Pex finally won by 59 thousandths from Ardigo. Iglesias finished 3rd, followed closely by Dale in 4th then Camponeschi, Abbasse 6th, Kozlinski 7th, Rick Dreezen (Ricciardo / Parilla) 8th.
