WSK Super Master Adria: Ardigo, Nielsen and Colombo on pole

At the first round of the 2015 WSK Super Master Series at Adria Karting Raceway, it was sunny, but with a cool wind limiting the temperature. The qualifying sessions alternated between the categories, but the track conditions didn’t change significantly.

Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) dominated the 46 KZ2 participants, with several laps under 47”, ending on a 46”936 which only teammate Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was able to approach by 19 milliseconds. Paolo De Conto (CRG / Maxter), leader of the 1st session, took 3rd place overall at 0.183” off pole, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) was fourth ahead of Lorenzo Camplese (Formula K / Parilla), Jorge Pescador (Praga / Parilla) in 6th, Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) 7th and Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter) 8th ahead of the Pex brothers (Intrepid / TM), Stan and Jorrit. Arnaud Kozlinski (Sodi / TM) was 14th, Jeremy Iglesias (Alpha / TM) 16th, Nicolas Gonzales (Alpha / TM) 21st and the young Paul Fontaine (Alpha / TM) 44th.

Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) began the meeting with the fastest time of the 41 KF on track, 47”709, closely tailed by Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex), the leader of the first group, by 115 thousandths. There was a fine start for the Belgian contingent with 3rd place for Benjamin Lessennes (Zanardi / Parilla) ahead of Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex), Casper Andersen Roes (FA Kart / Vortex) and Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex). Ben Hanley (Croc Promotion / TM) was 25th, and Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla) only 38th.

In KF-Junior, Lorenzo Colombo (Tony Kart-LKE) was the fastest of the 60 involved in the competition with a best lap of 49”138. The competition was not far off, with Felipe Drugovich (Kosmic / Vortex) in 2nd position by 34 thousandths with Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) 3rd by 36 thousandths and Rasmus Lindh (Ricciardo / Parilla) 4th by 43 milliseconds. Kenny Roosens (Kosmic / Parilla) set the 8th fastest time, while Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished 10th. Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was the 26th and fastest of the French drivers in front of Milane Petelet (Kosmic / Parilla) 28th, Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) 37th and Timothy Peisselon (BirelART / Parilla) 52nd.
