20th Winter Cup: Nielsen victorious in KF

Juan Correa (Energy / TM) immediately took 3rd position ahead of Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla) in the KF final while Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) then attempted an attack on the leader Mark Litchfield (CRG / Parilla). The drivers touched, but it didn’t work for the Dane. Tiene recovered his 3rd position and Marcus Armstrong took the opportunity to follow ahead of Correa. Martijn Van Leeuwen (CRG / TM) was ahead of Oliver Hodgson (Kosmic / TM) and Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex).

Nielsen was slowly closing on Litchfield and Benjamin Lessennes (Zanardi / Parilla) returned to 8th place with Ben Barnicoat (BirelART / Parilla) in his wake. There was a big gain for Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 12th position. The fastest on the track, Nielsen gradually got away. Correa climbed into fifth position after passing Hodgson, while Barnicoat also improved. There was a fight between Tiene and Litchfield who did not give him an easy time. Armstrong took the opportunity to go second after a good fight. Hodgson was fifth, followed by Barnicoat and Lessennes at the expense of Correa who was now 8th. Tiene overcame Litchfield with two laps to go.

The win and fastest lap went to Nielsen, more than 2.5″ in front of the amazing Armstrong, with Tiene 3rd.
