The track at Lonato has dried, but the rain tyres were still used at the start of the KZ2 Prefinal. Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) completed lap 1 ahead of Paolo De Conto (CRG / Maxter), Ben Hanley (Croc Promotion / TM), Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) and Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter). Arnaud Kozlinski (Sodi / TM) had to push back on the starting grid. Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla) moved back to 6th, Fabian Federer (Maranello / Maxter) 7th and Nicolas Gonzales (Alpha / TM) 8th after a great start. Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) was only 11th, and Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla) 12th.

De Conto seized the lead on lap 5, with Camponeschi finding himself under direct threat from Hanley. The British driver attacked, but dropped his spoiler and immediately returned to the pits. De Conto crossed the finish line 8” ahead of Camponeschi, Abbasse was attacked by Simo Puhakka (CRG / Maxter) on the penultimate lap, with Lammers 5th followed by Gonzales, Marco Zanchetta (Alpha / TM) and Dale 8th. Ardigo was 10th, Hanley 13th, Hubert Petit (Sodi / TM) finished 21st and Kozlinski came back to 23rd.
