Nielsen hit in the Prefinal

Ultra-dominant since the beginning of the World meeting at Essay, Nicklas Nielsen lost out significantly in the prefinal, when Tom Joyner hit him in the back on the right and sent him into a spin.

Olivier Maréchal, the Kosmic team manager, explained the position that he put to the stewards: “Starting from pole, so on the inside, Nielsen logically shifted slightly outward to negotiate the first right turn. He had no other choice of position. In any case, he did not leave a gap. Tom Joyner tried to go through where there was no room on a line where he could not turn without touching our driver. This is what happened and Nicklas went across. I regret that such behaviour will not be punished as it should be, especially as this is not the first time.”
