Zuera: Wooder narrowly wins the Junior prefinal

Despite a very agitated first lap punctuated by several skirmishes, Dave Wooder (FA Kart – Dan Holland Racing), Marcus Armstrong (FA Kart – Dan Holland Racing) and Marta Garcia Lopez (Zanardi – MGL Xtreme Racing) were the top three on the first lap of the pre Rotax Junior. But Dean MacDonald (Tony Kart – Strawberry Racing) returned to the lead on the second lap, Darren Keane (Tony Kart – Strawberry Racing) took fourth and Max Hofer (Birel – KMS Birel Motorsport) sixth. Marta Garcia took control on lap four past MacDonald, Wooder and Armstrong. Wooder took back second and closed on the Spanish driver. The top five were wheel to wheel and finished with Wooder the leader. Wooder won ahead of Garcia Lopez, Armstrong 3rd, MacDonald 4th and Keane 5th. The only French driver in the race, Adrien Renaudin (Sodi-Kart Racing Pro) took 14th position, just ahead of Alex Quinn (Tony Kart – Racing Coles), the fastest on the track, but recovered after a difficult start of the prefinal.
