Despite a drying track, the competitors in the KZ2 repechage favour wet tyres. Things were confused with several start times on the grid, then a few spun. Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter) took the lead followed by Jorge Pescador (Praga / Parilla), Gary Carlton (TB Kart / Modena) was third by several lengths ahead of Tony Wolf (Energy / TM) and Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM) who made a very good start. Menno Paauwe (Birel / TM) lost a lot in a spin, but the race was far from over. Next was the great comeback for Antoine Bottiroli (GP / TM), the only French driver in this repechage. With the unexpected return of Paauwe, the battle for 6th place was bustling in the wheeltracks of Wolf. Brandon Nilsson (Birel / Vortex), the only driver on slicks was back like an rocket at the end of the race. Last at the start, he was in the top 10 with 3 laps to go.
Federer won ahead of Carlton, Pescador, Morgan Törnqvist, Zanchetta and Paauwe. Nilsson failed in 7th place by 2” and Bottiroli was 8th.
