Verschoor leads the Academy heats ahead of Van Kalmthout

With three heats in all and two per driver, drivers in the Academy Trophy have to make no mistakes to do well in the intermediate classification. Twice winner, the Dutchman Richard Verschoor has fully accomplished his mission ahead of his compatriot Rinus Van Kalmthout and the Turk Berkay Besler, both tied with 5 points. The Brazilian Muril Della Coletta took 4th position against the South African Bradley Liebenberg in 5th, victorious in the second heat, the British Oliver York in 6th, the Spaniard Xavier Brunet Lloveras 7th, the Greek Konstantinos 8th, the Japanese Hiaru Kogure 9th and Lucas Légeret of Switzerland 10th.

The Briton Ross Martin is 22nd, the Russian Zakhar Slutskiy 23rd and 27th is the German Max Hesse who paid dearly for their retirements. In 24th, the French driver Alexandre Vromant gains a foothold in the international category at his debut.
