Was the second qualifying group in KFJ at the WSK Final Cup inherently faster or did they benefit from better conditions the Castelletto track? It is hard to say, but what is certain is that the top three overall are from the 2nd session. Pole position went to Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) with 48” 106, 4/100 ahead of Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart / TM) and Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart / Vortex) by 1.37 tenths. Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla), who had pole in the first session, was in 4th ahead of Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex). Then came Daniel Ticktum (FA Kart / Vortex) in 10th position 3/10 off the leader, Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex) 12th, Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB) 14th, Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) 16th ahead of the French driver Bryan Elpitiya (Energy / TM) in 17th and David Beckmann (Zanardi / Parilla) 20th. Of the 67 drivers listed, Nikita Mazepin (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 47th, Dionysus Marcu (CRG / TM) in 50th and Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) 53rd attest to problems in qualifying. Contrary to what was suggested on the entry list, Leonardo Pulcini is not racing.
