Sarno, KF prefinal for Basz

Under the sun at Sarno and on slicks, the start of the Prefinal of the KF International Super Cup saw Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) take first place ahead of Dorian Boccolacci (Energy / TM) and Martin Kodric (FA Kart / Vortex) with Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) in fourth position. Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / TM) spun at the first corner but kept going. Kodric passed for second before the end of lap 1. On lap 3 Nielsen took 2nd place. Egor Stupenkov (Energy / TM) moved up to 5th, Matteo Vigano (Top Kart / Parilla) sixth. Boccolacci then lost ground in sixth place behind Kevin Lavelli (Top Kart / TM).

Basz took off while the battle raged for second place between Stupenkov, Nielsen and Kodric. Lance Stroll (Zanardi / TM) was behind Vigano in seventh position. Besancenez undid the delay by reaching 12th position on the seventh of 12 laps with the fastest time. Boccolacci overtook Lavelli for 5th place on the next lap. Basz won the pre-final with a comfortable lead of 1.8” to Nielsen with Stupenkov third, Kodric 4th, Boccolacci 5th, Stroll 6th, Vigano 7th and Besancenez 8th, with the fastest lap and a recovery of 15 places.
