H13, A against D: Shwartzman wins and Lessennes impresses

Although the track was drying out steadily since the morning, there was still no chance of anyone trying their luck on slicks. It was a good start again for Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart / TM) from Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) and Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Vortex). Bryan Elpitiya (Energy / TM) moved up to fourth from Joona Puhakka (Kosmic / Vortex). Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) dropped to 16th, Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart / Vortex) 21st and Jules Bollier (Tony Kart / Parilla) 24th. Timi Tolvanen (ART GP / TM) was back in the game in the seventh position (19 places). The fastest lap by far was for Lessennes close behind Norris, while Shwartzman escaped by more than a second.

Lessennes took 2nd on lap 5, and Tolvanen took 5th from Puhakka. Ahmed was back in the top 10, Lorandi took 13th. Despite his pace, Lessennes did not have time to join Shwartzman who won the race by 2/10. Norris was 3rd, Elpitiya 4th, Tolvanen finished 5th. Ahmed and Lorandi were 9th and 10th. With one more lap, Shwartzman would have had to worry …

H14, B against E: Daruvala fights against Raucci

Probably the last race on wet tyres for the drivers, because the sun was shining on Sarno. Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) was the leader initially pursued by Giuliano Raucci (Energy / TM), Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB) and Niko Kari (FA Kart / Vortex) before he dropped back and left Danilo Albanese (Kosmic / Vortex) and Daniel Ticktum (FA Kart / Vortex) in fourth and fifth positions. Gabriel Aubry (FA Kart / TM) was 12th and Max Defourny (Kosmic / TM) 19th, seemingly less comfortable. The battle intensified between Daruvala and Raucci. The Brazilian found a gap on the fifth lap, but the Indian replied on the last lap and was ahead by 5/10. Sitnikov stayed third from Albanese, and 5th was Mikhail Tarasov (Tony Kart / Vortex).

H15, C against F: Lorandi om wet tyres resists Raspatelli on slicks

As might be expected, some drivers gambled on slicks, but except Matteo Raspatelli (Kosmic / Parilla) they were competitors back of the grid. Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) flew ahead of Martin Van Leeuwen (Zanardi / TM) and Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart / Vortex) with Remigio Garofano (Tony Kart / LKE) and fourth Raspatelli in front of Petru Florescu (Tony Kart / Vortex ) and Sasakorn Chaimongkol (Kosmic / TM). Lorandi on wet tyres increased his lead at a frenzied pace.

From the halfway point, the advantage of slicks was clearly visible. Raspatelli went third, and he posted a lap 1.5” faster than the leader. The Belgian took second ahead of Van Leeuwen, Chaimongkol and Nikita Mazepin (Tony Kart / Vortex). Raspatelli had the speed to take the lead, but Lorandi would do anything to win, not always very sportingly. Van Leeuwen finished 3rd from Chaimongkol 4th, Sami Saarelainen (Kosmic / Vortex) 5th and Kenny Rossens (Zanardi / TM) 6th, the two drivers on slicks.
