Sarno KF: clear victory for Stroll in Heat 3

Karol Basz’s (Tony Kart / Vortex) lead was challenged by Lance Stroll (Zanardi / TM) in the first lap in a good fight. Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla) was 3rd ahead of Dorian Boccolacci (Energy / TM) who attacked. Julien Fong Wei Jie (Tony Kart / TM) didn’t come out of the first corner. Stroll took the lead on the second lap ahead of Boccolacci and Matteo Vigano (Top Kart / Parilla). Stroll escaped from Boccolacci who led the chasing pack with Basz and Vigano. Martin Kodric (FA Kart / Vortex) had overtaken Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) for sixth position. Egor Stupenkov moved up to 8th and Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / TM) to 9th.

Vigano confirmed his speed, overtaking Basz in turn 4, then was back on Boccolacci, especially in the twisty parts. Besancenez passed Joyner in seventh position. Basz attacked Vigano on the penultimate lap, but the Italian defended and went after Boccolacci, attacking on the last lap. Stroll quietly won the race with the fastest lap and 2.7” ahead of Boccolacci, 93 thousandths in front of Vigano on the line. Basz was 4th, Nielsen 5th who had retaken Stupenkov and Besancenez.
