H7 A against F: Pulcini ahead of Lessennes

After a particularly difficult period and more than 3 hours late due to the rainy weather, the racing resumed. A few drops of rain continued to fall, but the track was cleared of most of its large puddles by a special machine. Petru Florescu (Tony Kart / Vortex) spun on the formation lap, the driver regained his places after the red line. Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished the first lap ahead of Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Vortex), Sergio Sette Camara (ART GP / TM) who gained 13 positions, Bryan Elpitiya (Energy / TM) and Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart / TM). Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) was back in fifth position, and up to third on lap 3. Maxime Potty (Kosmic / Parilla) and Jules Bollier (Kosmic / Parilla) were 9th and 10th.

Pulcini and Lessennes well outpaced their classmates as Norris was 3.2” behind the second, but 2” ahead of Sette Camara on lap 4. Florecu was back attacking Elpitiya, then Shwartzman and Sette Camara. Victory went to Pulcini ahead of Lessennes and Norris set the fastest lap. In fourth position, Florescu could be sanctioned, Shwartzman was fifth, Sette Camara sixth, Elpitiya seventh and Bollier eighth.

H8, B against D: Sitnikov very comfortable on a wet track

The track dried slowly over time as the rain stopped and the sun was not far above the clouds. Starting first, Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) was dispossessed of his lead by Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB) on the first lap. Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) took 3rd place ahead of Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex), Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart / Vortex) and Gabriel Aubry (FA Kart / TM). Big effort from Max Defourny (Kosmic / TM) early in the race, in seventh ahead of Ralf Aron (Tony Kart / Vortex) with a gain of 16 places. James Pull (Tony Kart / Vortex) was no longer in the race. Lorandi attacked Daruvala and passed on the 2nd lap, and Defourny captured fifth position.

Sitnikov increased his lead ahead of Lorandi to over 2” at halfway and Defourny fought with Daruvala for 3rd place in the company of Fewtrell, but Aubry was quiet in sixth position, ahead of Gabriel Sereia (Birel / Parilla) and Timi Tolvanen (ART GP / TM) again very well put together. Sitnikov won over Leonardo Lorandi, then Defourny with the fastest lap and in a good third after gaining a whopping 20 places, Daruvala 4th, Fewtrell 5th and Aubry 6th.

H9, C against E: Ticktum at the finish

The spirits were heated, and several practice laps were required before the start could take place more or less correctly. Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) remained in first place, ahead of Daniel Ticktum (FA Kart / Vortex) and again Mick Betsch (Tony Kart / Vortex) with a very good start (21 Positions). Dionysus Marcu was not bad either in fourth position. Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 15th, Martijn Van Leeuwen (Zanardi / TM) 17th and Niko Kari (FA Kart / Vortex) 18th were worse off. Marcu put in the fastest time to pass the third Betsch.

In fifth position Nikita Troickiy (Tony Kart / Vortex) was under investigation. Nikita Mazepin (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 5th place from him soon after. Mosca and Baiz retired. The difference was significant between the fast three leaders, and it was hard to see things changing regularly. Ticktum was the fastest on the track, but 1.3” from Lorandi. Mazepin grabbed 4th place on the fifth round from Betsch. Yet Ticktum won the race ahead of Alessio Lorandi and Marcu. So Mazepin finished 4th from Amaury Bonduel (ART GP / TM) who was well put together, Giuliano Raucci (Energy / TM) was sixth ahead of Alex (DR / TM) 7th and Betsch 8th, who lost several places on the final lap.
