Sarno flooded in 2011 at the U18 World Championship.
It seems that the weather is part of the mix at the KF Junior World Championship at Sarno this weekend. Experience shows that the sky can be temperamental at the foot of Vesuvius, sometimes causing torrential rains which have flooded the Neapolitan track with rare violence. Even if there isn’t a flood, rain, or storm, wet tyres may be needed for the Saturday heats and on Sunday for the finals, which particularly complicates the task of the young competitors with a slippery track and sprays of water from the tyres. Will installing a red light at the back of karts be considered one day?
