KF Final at Genk for Nielsen and Kosmic

Pedro Hiltbrand (LH / Parilla) first took the of the final in KF ahead of Dorian Boccolacci (Energy / TM) who retook the lead. The first lap of the race was marked by several clashes that delayed Dabski delayed considerably as well as Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) and George Russell (Birel / TM). Hiltbrand dropped to seventh, Ben Barnicoat (ART GP / TM) took second place, but was watching out for Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex). Vasily Romanov and Egor Stupenkov (Energy / TM) were in 4th and 5th. After a superb start to the race, Sébastien Bailly (Birel / TM) was in 7th from Sam Snell (Energy / TM), Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla).

 

On the eighth lap, Nielsen attacked Boccolacci, followed by Barnicoat and Romanov. The French driver, assured of the title, didn’t seem to have his usual top speed. Another French driver was in a good position, Julien Darras (Tony Kart / TM), ranked 12th, Victor Compere (Kosmic / Parilla) was 17th, Valentin Moineault (ART GP / TM) 18th. Nielsen further increased his lead with a fastest lap, and significant gaps froze the positions until the finish. Nielsen won from Barnicoat and Romanov. In fourth position, Boccolacci was the champion, Stupenkov finished 5th, Basz 6th and Hiltbrand 7th.
