WSK Euro Series Sarno: a weekend in crescendo for Lorandi in KFJ

Friday – Thompson, first Superpole in KF Junior. The big piece of news in KF Junior was the performance of the Canadian Parker Thompson (Energy-TM-Vega), at his first Superpole in WSK: he set the time at 1’06”453. The hard battle which is going on in this category too is proved by the difference of only three milliseconds between the leader and the second fastest driver, the Italian Remigio Garofano (Tony Kart-LKE-Vega), who preceded another Italian driver, Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega), only 5 hundredths of a second slower than the poleman. On the other hand, the weekend for Lando Norris (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) is going to be tough: the leader of the standings was only 6th, 0”216 behind.

Saturday – Pulcini the poleman in KF Junior. Leonardo Pulcini clinched the pole in the Pre-final A of the KF Junior. He won three of the four heats run today. The English Daniel Ticktum (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) is the pole-man in Pre-final B.

Sunday – Alessio Lorandi’s performance (Tony Kart-Parilla-Vega) got better and better throughout the whole weekend, reaching its peak in the Final, when at half race he snatched the leadership from Leonardo Pulcini. The latter had passed the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart-TM-Vega) and gained the head of the race. Anyway, eventually, the Russian driver was the runner-up of the race, while Pulcini dropped back to fourth in the tussle for the leadership, where he lost a further position to the benefit of the British Lando Norris.
