Six French drivers still fighting

The difficult qualifying phase has just finished with some success for Team France. Only the DD2 Master drivers Guy Pansart (7th), Charly Hipp (15th) and William Berteaux (16th) can wait calmly for the finals. The other 6 on Friday afternoon will race in a crucial repechage which is fraught with danger, where they will need to finish as usual in the top 6.

In DD2, Antoine Lepesqueux experienced technical problems at the start of his last heat and could do no better than 14th, which put him 31st in the intermediate classification. Sébastien Bertrand managed to gain ground and ranks 30th, just ahead of Lepesqueux. Morgan Hipp could not significantly improve the speed of the machine and is 39th at the end of the DD2 Master heats.

There is only one Junior carrying the tricolor after exclusion of Anthony Fotia this morning, Thomas Lawrence will start in ninth position in the Repechage. Alexander Finkelstein narrowly missed qualifying and will start from pole in the Senior repechage which is meager consolation, while Xavier Pozzoli is in 39th position, 11th place on the grid.
