Tuesday was devoted to non-qualifying practice for the 4 categories of the Rotax World Final at Portimao. Under generally clear skies, temperatures peaked at around 15 ° C in the afternoon. Morale was good for Team France after the performance from Alexandre Finkelstein in Senior Max and Guy Pansart in DD2 Master, and the fourth fastest time for Antoine Lepesqueux in DD2.
In Junior Max, the fastest time was set by the Spaniard Alvaro Otero with 1’02” 461, ahead of the Russian Andrey Iatchenko and Portuguese Bruno Borlido. Sweden’s Jessica Bäckman was finished 8th by 0.3”. The French are still a bit off the pace with Thomas Lawrence 37th and Anthony Fotia 43rd.

In DD2, the Belgian De Ruwe Xen was the fastest with 59” 419, followed by Kevin Lüdi of Switzerland, Finland’s Miika Laiho and the French Antoine Lepesqueux, closely followed by the Canadian Nicholas Latifi.
