The Spaniard Guillermo Russo (FA Kart / Vortex) led from start to finish of the pre-final at the KF3 World Cup at Zuera. After taking advantage of Lance Stroll (Zanardi / Parilla) on lap 1, Russo was followed by Gabriel Aubry (Birel / TM) in second position before Stroll took him back followed by Luca Corberi (Kosmic / Vortex) and Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB). But the first lap was marked by several skirmishes. Bryan Elpitiya (Zanardi / Parilla) crashed under braking at the hairpin, Dorian Boccolacci (Intrepid / TM) was also in trouble here.
Aubry continued to lose ground in the fight, Valentin Naud (FA Kart / Vortex) was 10th before dropping down to 19th, Julien Darras (Tony Kart / Parilla) was 12th and Paolo Besancenez (Sodi / Parilla) 17th. In the lead, Sitnikov then took 2nd place in the contest with Stroll, Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was back in fourth position ahead of Alex Palou (CRG / BMB) who drove wisely to 5th. Besancenez finished his fantastic comeback in 9th place, an incredible performance from 32nd on the grid ahead of Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) who was incredibly fast. Darras finished 13th from Naud.
Many drivers retired before the end of the race, probably to spare their tyres. This was the case for Aubry in 25th, Vitor Baptista (CRG / BMB) in 25th, Elpitiya 29th, Boccolacci 30th, Russell 31st…
