With Bas Lammers and Jordon Lennox-Lamb, in KZ1 and in KZ2, we have two worthy World Cup winners. The racing was close and, as always at Sarno, the organisation was up to expectations. Still, I’m very disappointed”, said Kees van de Grint, the CIK-FIA Vice-President. “Due to an issue with the noise measuring system, the Stewards could not be fair to all competitors and therefore they had no other option than to cancel all noise penalties. It’s a real shame and I have to apologize for that. However, what has disappointed me even more is the fact that some competitors ignored the regulation by removing their silencers. Even without the presence of the Police, the law still stands. It’s a pity that not everybody underst ands how much noise is an issue for the future of karting.
