The rain moved away during the lunch break, but the track was still very slippery for the KZ2 Prefinal. Charles Fiault (Sodi / Maxter) retained the advantage of his pole position at the lights, Francois Santoni (PCR / TM) attempted to infiltrate into second position, but Pierre Ragues (Sodi / Maxter) firmly recrossed at the first right. Nolan Mantione (Birel / TM) was in fourth position ahead of Christophe Benoit (Birel / TM). Mantione then fell into sixth position. Maxime Roy (Tony Kart / TM) recovered strongly after being delayed and had been last after going off the track and finally gave up. Benoit quickly recovered third place ahead of Santoni and Mantione.

Fiault got away irretrievably in the lead with a series of fastest laps, 2” ahead of Ragues before mid-race. Lucile Cypriano (Tony Kart / TM) was doing pretty well in the difficult challenge of learning the KZ on a wet track. She passed Adam Maatougui (Energy / TM) on the 8th lap. The situation appeared stable, Fiault was headed for a relatively easy victory in front of Ragues, Benoit, Mantione in fourth and Santoni fifth.
