Henry Easthope (Sodi) shared the front row of Prefinal 1 for the U18 World Championship at Braga with Martin Mortensen (Formula K), followed on the second row by Joseph Mawson (Top Kart) and Juho Valtanen (PCR). The sun beat down on Braga, the air is at 22 ° C, but the track temperature probably much more. The English driver Easthope got away well, followed by Mawson who passed Antonov Gregory (MS Kart), Leclerc was already fourth, fifth Moternsen, and Jules Gounon (Sodi) sixth ahead of Marco Maestranzi (PCR). Mawson closed the gap on the leader, the top two were already well separated from the pack. There was a battle between Antonov and Charles Leclerc (ART GP) for third place, but the Monegasque took the position on lap 4. Although he hadn’t made a good start, Anthoine Hubert (Formula K) entered the top 10. Antonov fell to 11th, leaving the battle for fourth to Maestranzi, Gounon, Schandorff and Webster.

At halfway Easthope was only 0.247 ahead of Mawson, Leclerc was isolated in third position, closely followed by Gounon and Maestranzi. Webster and Hubert passed Schandorff who was now 8th. Easthope gained 2/10, which he subsequently lost, the fight was intense. Maestranzi took 3rd by passing Gounon. Easthope won the race by four tenths ahead of Mawson, Leclerc third, fourth Maestranzi, Gounon fifth, sixth Hubert.
